Please take your loved ones elsewhere. My husband is bipolar I and went into a pretty bad manic episode and we waited for this appointment with Tammy. He left with nothing more than Lamictal that does nothing for pulling you out of mania- despite him asking her for another medication to treat it. She refused- because of this, his mania worsened until he went into full blown psychosis. He then reached out to them daily begging them for help- he was hung up on and told daily they would call him back and recieved no call. We waited a week to finally get a hold of her. She refused to allow me to be a part of his treatment despite him wanting me to be involved, and WORST of all- she told him while he was in active psychosis that I was LEAVING him. This was completley FALSE. She had never spoken to me, had no idea if this was true or not, and putting that in the head of someone in such a fragile mental state was incredibley dangerous and unprofessional. Things continued to spiral until I was able to get him into decent doctor who prescribed him the correct medications, granted his requests and didn't fill his head with false information. He's thankfully doing much, much better now but this could have all been avoided had he of recieved proper care in the first place. Zero stars. I will add to this review on top of everything else, they are now denying he was ever patient here. Me and him do not share the same last name but I am sure by the information I provided they know the patient I am referring to. Everything stated in this review is accurate so I don't appreciate being threatened. To refresh your memory although this was very recent; he asked for Lithium for his mania and was told that was an old school medication and she would not prescribe it despite it being the gold standard for treating manic episodes. He was told to stick to the Lamictal alone until he was finally sent in Abilify after a week of repeated phone calls and worsening condition. Ya'll would not have my name on file considering I was not permitted to be involved despite that being what he wanted. He has confirmed now that is he stable that she told him I was leaving and not coming back which sent him deeper into a spiral. This had deeply effected my family and I would prefer responsibility be taken instead of denial and threats. Thank you.

I cried the whole way home after leaving. TEARS OF JOY. Guiding Light is the gold standard. The Chick-fil-A of psychiatry. The sweet, wonderful, perfect angel at the front desk was already sliding the glass to the side and smiling at me as I was still opening the door. I’ve never felt so welcomed. I wish I could remember her name (sorry queen,) but the nurse who took my vitals was so kind, down to earth and easy to talk to. I can hardly put into words how incredible it was meeting with Laura. I felt so seen. The treatment plan was very collaborative and she truly truly truly listened to understand me. I will sing her praises for the rest of my days. The other sweet, wonderful, perfect angel at the desk who scheduled my follow up appointment was so personable and welcoming as well. 100/10 recommend.

5 stars plus more.Tammy is awesome I clicked with her the first time I went. She lets you talk as much and long as you want. The office staff is awesome..I remember the first time I went there I was kinda nervous switching to a new doctor and I told Kelsey that and she put her hand on mine and said you will be ok. You will not be disappointed.Just such a serene place when you walk through the door.

Tammy Fletcher and the whole team has been a lifesaver for me! The whole staff are so nice and when I talk with Tammy I feel like I’m talking with a friend…I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t found them! I highly recommend them to anyone needing help from people that really care!💜

I got in at Guiding Light Psychiatry after searching for a mental health provider for two years after Dr. Meadows retired. I got in with Tammy, she was Dr. Meadows nurse when I saw him. Now she is a nurse practitioner at Guiding light psychiatry. I had the gene site test done, and she would not go off of it. She didn’t know what to prescribe me or how to help me without my gene site results. She would Not prescribe me anything that was not in the green on the gene site test results. Which left one medication that my insurance would cover. It did not help. I told her this. she didn’t care. Probably because she didn’t know what to do without that cheat sheet. She also took my ADHD medicine completely away and would not prescribe it. I was already getting it from my regular doctor. But she took me off of it until I told her I felt great. I couldn’t tell her I felt great, because what she was prescribing me off the gene site test was not working . She still refused to change my medicine to something my insurance would cover, and she refused to give me my ADHD medicine. Which left my mental health in shambles. I called and asked to see a different provider in the office. No words were spoken. There was no argument, no nothing. They simply told me no they didn’t do that. Then I got a letter in the mail, saying they were dismissing me as a patient because I asked to see another provider in the office. She threw me away like a piece of trash, and was not concerned one bit about my mental health in the process. Susan at the front desk is absolutely amazing, so is Rachel, Tammy‘s nurse. But Tammy just didn’t seem to care. You go against her and she’s going to refer you out. I didn’t even go against her. I just asked for a different provider bc she wasn’t helping me. Now I don’t have one because they’re impossible to find
