Looked like they were running a sales event, waiting room full, people on gurney lining the walls, EKG machines beeping everywhere. That being said, they were well staffed, plenty of friendly helpful receptionist and nurses every ten feet asking how they could help, who was I looking for, which nurse assigned to my patient. Proficient, professional and personable people all. Even the security at the metal detector lightened the mood. Im sure my friend with the compound fractured arm hasn't noticed the high level of care she has received, but I have. I much appreciate the outstanding effort these dedicated individuals provide the citizens of this tri-county area.

Our experience at Baptist South ER was extremely disappointing. The level of care and communication did not meet expectations for an emergency department. During our visit, I felt that our concerns were not fully taken seriously and communication from staff was inconsistent and unclear. I won’t give the details on what we were there for just for privacy reasons but it was definitly a matter that shouldn’t been taken EXTREMELY seriously. This is coming from people that never go to the doctor let alone an ER unless it is absolutely dire, and I don’t say that lightly. We left without answers about what was happening and why certain decisions were being made. Every concern or question I gave or asked about was brushed off, and we felt like they had their minds made up on what was wrong the second we walked in when we were trying our hardest to be heard and explain that this was not normal and something to be taken seriously. Wait times were also longer than expected, and updates during the process were minimal. I had to track down a nurse after 20 minutes to get her to put an IV back in on who I was with when her response was “Oh he’s discharged.” Nobody had come to communicate that with us, nobody had come to check on him, and nobody gave us any answers. We are now trying to seek help elsewhere to try to get answers since we left with none and feeling like we weren’t being taken seriously. I also understand nurses are overworked and have multiple patients at a time, so in no way am I trying to hate on the nurses by any means. We dealt with two that were very sweet but again they were not assigned to us they were just there to help at certain times. My concerns are not directed at the individuals who were trying to help, but more so at the overall communication and flow of care during the visit. I also understand that ERs are busy and that other patients may have been in critical condition requiring immediate attention. However, even in a high-volume setting, basic communication, updates, and acknowledgment of patient concerns should not be overlooked and definitly not brushed off just because you can’t see something on the surface. Feeling ignored or left without information only adds to the stress of an already difficult situation. Overall, I left feeling unheard and concerned about the quality of care provided. I hope improvements can be made in communication, attentiveness, and patient support so future patients have a better experience.

On March 21 , 2026 , I was transported to Baptist South By the rudest ambulance drivers ever , then the Emergency Department Dr. said I was on drugs and that I was only there trying to get pills after being there for 2 hours thats when they started doing there job because I had a fracture leg , after finally being admitted I was asked the weirdest questions ever. Once I was in my room everything was ok I had some good nurses and some bad ones , my worst experience was having my heart monitor snatched off of my chest because I was moving to much that was the most hurtful feeling ever. Honestly how can you call yourself a doctor or nurse if you can’t take the time out to insure your patients are comfortable

Baptist South in Montgomery, Alabama is where we went. My husband was not feeling well, short winded, no energy, color not great. ER Unit immediately started working with him and ordering tests they thought were vital and needed. Awesome experience. We were treated with an abundance of love, concern, and respect. Top notch professionalism with all the staff we encountered. Dr. Crawford, Cardiologist found the problem and fixed it. We just cant say enough about Bapist South. They know their jobs, they know how to treat people and above all we know the Lord took away our worry and He led us there to this hospital because He knew we would be treated well. God bless all the Doctors, Nurses and the full staff. It takes a village and we say, Thank You, Thank You!!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a really good experience at Baptist Medical Center South. The staff took care of me and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. The person who did my stitches, Michael, did an amazing job. My wound is healing very well, and everything looks clean and properly done. I really appreciate the care and attention that went into treating me. Overall, I’m grateful for the service I received and would definitely recommend them based on my experience.
