  What a wonderful psychiatrist. I looked for a psychiatrist for years that could help me with things and I finally found Dr. Rap to help after many psychiatrists prescribing dozens of failed medications and medications that simply didn't work. Years of my life just gone due to my inaccurate assessment of how important mental health is and why you should be prepared but pleased you only need to pay $150 or so for maintainence visits to Dr Rap. I actually was told I owed a different private pay doctor years ago $700 for me to sit and fill out paperwork for 3 hours while the psych did nothing! However, Dr. Rap had me feeling great in one visit due to her talents and experience. I have medi cal and it's worth paying cash to see her and get the medication that works for me. She's a wonderful person too and I recommend her 100% to anyone with mental health issues of any kind. I recommend her to all my friends, too! Lisa and Melody, the two receptionists, are competent and like to interact without judgment, which can make another (me) feel anxious and uncomfortable. They are very welcoming and I adore Lisa's conversations! This office is just overall a great place to be if you feel like giving up, or are relatively new to treating a condition. You won't be sorry :) - Jim V

  So happy to have found Dr. Rapoport! She is a great doctor and I couldn't be happier with my treatment. She is also accommodating with appointment times and accessible if I need to get in touch. The office is welcoming and Lisa, at the front desk, is always helpful!

  Dr. Rapoport has helped change my life in so many ways. Not only is she attentive and understanding but she is honest with her patients. Also, Lisa is awesome! She is always so helpful and easy to talk to. Thank you guys so much!!!

  Dr Rapoport is very concerned and cares for me as her patient. She has shown me that psychiatrists aren't all self absorbed and condescending. She makes me feel important and hopeful whenever I see her, and gives me piece of mind knowing she is my Dr. She has shown that she is there for me if I'm having any kind of personal troubles or issues with medications. I can't thank her enough for turning my life around and giving me hope. I know what it's like to go through dark days and feel hopeless. Please don't give up on yourself and give Dr Rapoport a chance. She will bring hope and joy back into your life if you give her a chance to do so. Even her secretary is so nice and helpful. Hang in there and don't give up! I hope this helps someone in need :)

  I used to work with adults with developmental disabilities, and I would take them to all of their psychiatric appointments. I found that the doctors offices where cold, but worse yet, the doctors themselves were cold and oftentimes uncaring. I had come to expect that in the field of psychiatry until I met Dr. Rapoport and her staff. I have family members that she is helping, who have complicated issues, and she has been amazing! She is kind, caring and very knowledgeable and her staff are amazing. She suggested a treatment for my family member that has literally changed their life! As a hypnotist and coach I work with people with all sorts of issues. Some people need additional supports. I know that I can confidently refer my clients to her and they will be taken care of very well! I have referred my clients to her for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) because it's an incredible therapy, but also because I also know that she will run the full course of treatment. Sadly, there are other professionals offering TMS who don't offer the full course of treatment, and their patients may not see the results they were hoping for.
