PLEASE LISTEN TO THE TERRIBLE REVIEWS!!! ITS FOR A REASON! They do not care about you as a person, they just want YOUR MONEY, SUPER expensive for absolutely abysmal service, each session for medication management was around $500. The worst part was my psychiatrist, Joann, who was extremely rude & apathetic after I told her that literally wanted to off myself after something deeply traumatic happened. She looked up annoyedly after I told her that, like it was extra paperwork and in the most judgmental, vexed tone says “Why are you even here?” That’s a DEEPLY concerning thing for a health care “professional” to say, especially since I was still suicidal at the time. If you want help, get it elsewhere, because you’re not going to find it here.

Avoid this practice. In my initial call to this group I was informed they had therapy available for my schedule. Before this first call was even over they collected my credit card information. I was then scheduled for an intake session which at the conclusion of was informed there was no such availability. I was told to call back on Monday, which I did and never heard from them. Here we are 2 weeks later and I get a call from the scheduler Brianna who has no knowledge of my ongoing issue and proceeds to hang up on me when I asked why they would charge me for an intake when they knew there was no availability during these times. I was going to just let the charge go but this behavior was so unprofessional I wanted to warn others of this practice.

I called requesting an appointment with a specific provider. I have had many therapists over the years, some good some bad. For me, it’s important to pick someone who specializes in the therapy modalities I prefer and has experience with the problems I’m looking to work on. One of their therapists looked like a good fit so I requested a call back. On my very first call I asked if I would be able to schedule with that specific therapist. I was reassured that after the Harmony Bay “screening” process I would be definitely be able to schedule with that provider. After that initial call, I had to register with the Harmony Bay website, fill out half a dozen forms about my past physical and mental health history. Then I had to go through an hour long, extremely personal screening interview with a male interviewer (which made the process extra uncomfortable for me). And at the end of ALL of that?? I was told that the provider I wanted to see was completely unavailable. They tried to rush me over the phone into making an appointment with another providers just based on name alone and seemed annoyed when I wanted to review the provider’s profile on Harmony Bay’s website so I could check their experience/expertise. And of course they were recommending people who did have most (or any) of the qualifications that I was looking for. This process felt extremely misleading and unethical. The fact that the company seemingly doesn’t monitor which providers have ZERO availability is either wildly unprofessional or - more likely- a predatory practice. They are hoping, after spending all that time and money, that you just schedule with someone else rather than give up and move on to a more well suited provider. Therapists are NOT interchangeable. I was EXPLICITLY told that one specific provider I was interested in seeing would be available. Company is either mismanaged or outright lying to people. In the end, the point is moot. I’m down money, time, and had to have a VERY intimate, probing conversation with a total stranger - all for nothing. If you are looking for just any therapist, maybe this is the place for you, but if you want to see a specific therapist listed on their website, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

If you read through the recent reviews you will see that there are issues with this provider. My daughter has been using HB for years and truly I wish she would switch to another that my other daughter and husband use. Doctors and therapist turnover is an issue. Getting a person on the phone to discuss anything is an issue. Updating billing and insurance information is way more difficult than it should be…. The list goes on! Don’t do it if you are thinking about it!

I have had multiple issues having medication prescribed on time. Most recently my insurance stated I needed a 90 day supply instead of 30. When I ran out of my initial rx I called my pharmacy to fill it and the old prescription was canceled and the 90 day was never called in. It was also supposed to have two refills on it. I ended up going multiple days without this medication due to this error. Most recently I was charged $50 for an appointment I was running late to. I have never missed an appointment. It is corporate greed at its finest. Not patient centric in anyway. I’ve had to wait for a doctor before but I am not given a refund because of that. If they want to charge me for being late, I should have a free session with the prescriber is running late. Really sad as I won’t be able to afford my next appointment. Writing to BBB next. This is clearly not the first time “patients” have had similar issues. My first provider here prescribed me an ODT of my rx which I’ve never taken in my life and was never discussed. I am not sure where they find these people. They don’t seem to care as I am seeing similar reviews from over a year or two ago on here. It’s such a shame how willing they are to take advantage of someone for missing one appointment because I have to schedule it during my work day since there were no providers available on nights or weekends or during the time I gave for lunch during work. Most places make at least one exception. I hope the $50 was worth my mental health. Looking for a new provider as this multi facility/ multi state conglomerate cares more about their bottom line then the people they “care” for.
