It was a short session because my son was around and I didn’t want him to hear anything or be uncomfortable. Dr Mekles was very kind, understanding why I didn’t want to talk too much. He told me that he is going to take care of me. Very compassionate to my feelings.

To some, Dr Mekles may be the best psychiatrist they could ask for. His cool, laid-back demeanor is comforting, and he always opened up with questions that made me feel cared for. His pharmacological stance leans on the more conventional side, but he’s had clear success with hundreds of patients following that style of regimen. I recommend you always hear him out, but consider conducting your own research as well. ChatGPT (or any AI for that matter) is NOT a doctor. Human support is invaluable. But I recommend you use it in conjunction with any psychiatrist. It can provide a myriad of clinical data to help infer and hypothesize for your specific symptoms, history, and goals—especially when exploring how mediations may interact or complement one another. (In fact, I recommend the health professionals themselves utilize these powerful tools!) However, by no means is artificial intelligence a complete substitute for real health professionals. All relationships can have their ups and downs. But overall, it’s been a pleasure working with Dr. Mekles over the last year and a half. I recommend you give him a shot. 👍
