Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services has truly been a lifesaver for me. I began working with them when I was around 24 or 25, and I’m 37 now, which says a lot about the consistency and quality of care they provide. I’ve had the privilege of working with Dr.Fatinikun and my therapist and I cannot say enough good things about them. When COVID hit, they made the transition to virtual appointments seamless and comfortable, and I always felt genuinely cared for. That sense of care, paired with their professionalism, has meant everything to me. The staff is incredibly kind and supportive. When you’re dealing with anxiety or mental health challenges, being treated with compassion makes a huge difference, and they absolutely deliver that. Everyone is helpful, respectful, and welcoming. I regularly recommend Comprehensive Behavioral Health Services because they truly saved my life. Thanks to them, I’m able to function in society and live in a way I never thought possible before.

I have worked with CBHS for years. My son and I both receive services. The psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners truly do care about your health and are kind and compassionate. I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr Mashalkar, Dr Fatinikun, and Dr Shahzad professionally, and Nurse Practitioner April Linley and Dr Mashalkar personally as my and my son’s providers. Having both perspectives gives me unique insight into their practice and I do not hesitate to fully endorse CBHS. It appears, based on some recent reviews, they have had some difficulty with office staff. That is unfortunate and a huge anomaly based on the professionalism I have always experienced with the doctors and their practice. I am quite sure they will work diligently to resolve any of those matters. However, even if they had the worst office staff known to man, I would use their practice. They are that good. I have known many psychiatrists over the years as a professional and as a consumer. They have earned my respect, my referrals, and my loyalty.

I'm giving this place three stars because I have had such a mixed experience. I was initially referred to CBH by a doctor for help with an issue. I had to first see a psychiatrist, who I was told could possibly diagnose me and possibly prescribe something to help. She said before she could do anything, we would have to get bloodwork. In the meantime, she referred me to a therapist at CBH. I got the bloodwork done and then heard NOTHING about it from the psychiatrist. (In the meantime, I was seeing the therapist, who is great.) I tried talking with the front desk staff at a couple of different points and got nowhere. I finally called back again recently and spoke with someone who just went ahead and scheduled me for a follow up with the psychiatrist. (I had no idea a follow up would be necessary; I thought perhaps they would just issue a diagnosis or prescription after that.) The appointment was a Zoom call. She showed up five minutes late and didn't even acknowledge or apologize for her tardiness. She acted so unprofessionally - she seemed very unprepared, and then she told me there was nothing she could do in a way that suggested I should have known that. She said that she couldn't prescribe anything (didn't mention anything about a diagnosis). I then asked why she had me do bloodwork, and she said something about her "understanding" of looking for underlying issues...which I thought meant we were looking for the underlying issues so we could discuss a diagnosis and meds. But I guess not? Her attitude was very much like, "you should've known this," which is interesting, considering I have no medical training. I hate this, because I feel like I just had three months of hope ripped out from under me. The only redeeming quality of my experience with CBH so far is Bonnie, my therapist. She is WONDERFUL and has been so helpful so far. If it weren't for her, I would run far away from this place and never return. A note: honestly, I think part of the problem here is a larger problem with the mental health industry as a whole. I do not understand why mental health providers (and their front desk staff) are SO MUCH WORSE than physical health providers on returning calls and providing customer care. It's bizarre. When I was first looking for a therapist, I left messages with three different practices and didn't hear back from ANY of them, and my husband had a similar experience years before. I had one therapist once who consistently showed up 10 minutes late to appointments. My husband's current provider overcharged him at one of his initial appointments and has never fixed it. You would think that, if anything, mental health providers would ensure their customer care is the best of the best (for obvious reasons). But I have never encountered a doctor as unprofessional as this psychiatrist. I even felt uneasy in our first meeting, because she was just sort of ticking things off a list and treating me like an inconvenience. If this is your attitude, you shouldn't be in mental health services. ETA: It is my understanding that I am not the first person to complain about this individual.

Stefanie went above and beyond to make the process easy and calm. She anticipated my needs, explained everything clearly, and met every concern with genuine kindness. Her thoughtful care and professionalism turned what could have been stressful into a smooth, reassuring experience. Highly recommend Stefanie for patient-focused, compassionate care. Amazing experience!

I see Stefanie and she is always compassionate, and takes care of all of my concerns at every appointment. I never thought of going to therapy and she suggested it for some past traumas and I am so glad she did because it has been so helpful to my life.
