TMS therapy is administered at this Philadelphia clinic located on Pennsylvania Avenue in the Fairmount neighborhood. The practice specializes in transcranial magnetic stimulation for adults with treatment-resistant depression who have not responded adequately to prior antidepressant trials. Treatment protocols typically involve daily sessions over several weeks, with each session lasting approximately 20-40 minutes. The clinic operates as a dedicated TMS facility rather than a full-service psychiatric practice.

Dr. Applegate stands out as a compassionate and skilled psychiatrist who offers a blend of expert medical treatment and personalized care. His attentive listening and clear communication make sessions both comforting and constructive. His holistic approach balances medication with therapeutic techniques, addressing both symptoms and underlying causes. The progress I’ve made with his guidance has been significant and deeply beneficial, reflecting his commitment to not just treat but truly understand and improve his patients’ mental health. His office provides a supportive environment, mirroring his professional and empathetic approach to care. I highly recommend Dr. Applegate to anyone in search of a dedicated and knowledgeable psychiatrist .

Dr. Applegate is a frontrunner of advanced psychiatric interventions. He has the courage to provide new (and life changing) treatments, as he recognizes the limitations in the current state of mental health care. He is a consummate professional, ethical in all aspects of his work (and personal) life. If you are stalled out and don't know where to turn, reach out to Dr. Applegate....you won't be sorry!

Highly disappointed, one of your employees named Hermon Gebriel. She did not help me what so ever. She made my anxiety worse and overall my thoughts on counseling are ruined. She needs to fired!! As a counselor you should have sympathy and care; all I was met with was anger and attitude.

We refer to TMS of Philadelphia because they are a group of people with integrity that uses well-researched practice to make true changes occur for clients. The modality is practiced with warmth and begets important results for several presentations, including depression and obsessive compulsive disorder.

Krissy was knowledgable and patient with all my questions and Dr. Applegate's understanding of neuromodulation really helped me move forward with this treatment with confidence.
