I have had issues getting my prescriptions refilled about 90% of the time over the last 2 years. It’s hard getting anyone to answer the phone, and when I do speak to a representative, they either can’t find my prescription info or claim it’s already been refilled. I have to go back and forth between them and the pharmacy every month. It should not be this hard to receive the prescription medications I need for my mental health. It’s not an issue with my insurance, it’s an issue with anew era. Their communication is awful. I’ve also had to speak to random psychiatrists after mine left the company without any communication or notification. I specifically request female drs, and one of those random psychiatrists I met with was a man. To speak for fewer than 5 minutes just to renew the same prescription I’ve had for years, paying, and then fighting with this company to be able to fill it in reasonable time, is such a pain. They must have awful turnover.

I had previously been a patient at Anew Era for quite some time and had success with them. I wasn't in a place where I could openly experiment and try to find a better medication that assisted with my ADHD, but that was fine. They obviously cared and did put in effort during refill request and check-in appointments. The person who provided me that service has since departed the practice. I was not satisfied with the NP I was reassigned to, which is not, in itself, something worth giving a business a 1-star review. I could have just asked to see someone else, which I did plan to. However, I seemingly cannot get in contact with them over the phone. Many calls across 3 weeks, many left voicemails, zero times did the phone get answered, and zero times did they call me back. As far as my experience, the entire business has been closed since the second week of December and they just forgot to tell anyone. This isn't the case, I'm sure, but that's functionally how it feels. I am now out of my ADHD medication and have been for the entire holiday period. It will be a greater pain to find a different psychiatrist that works well with me, but finding one that is willing to speak to me and arrange an appointment in the first place is more important. So I walk away from my time as a patient of Anew Era pretty dissatisfied, and suffering from medication withdrawals. It feels like a pretty avoidable way to end things on their end, and I hope whatever in the world that is happening with their front desk gets resolved. But I'm not sticking around and waiting for them to do so. 1-star for just not even being able to provide the service they once did. Fix it.

Laura Beaufford has been such a blessing in my mental health journey. She brings an incredible balance of professionalism and heart — she truly cares. Laura’s compassion shines through in every session, and her ability to make you feel safe and supported while also being proactive and knowledgeable is remarkable. She listens deeply, remembers details, and tailors care with genuine thoughtfulness. It’s clear she’s passionate about helping her patients heal and thrive. I always leave our sessions feeling lighter, understood, and hopeful. Anew Era TMS is exceptional because of clinicians like her.

I hope this review helps someone find a good alternative care provider, it's a long read but I think it's fair. I don't like giving 1 (or 5) star reviews generally but I strongly do not recommend this practice. I was given sales pitches for magnetic therapy without consultation, or history of depression/anxiety, by the practitioner when I first sat down. My initial visit was mostly one sided and consisted largely of being asked the same questions on my new patient forms, and then reading through my forms with me (questions and answers) with surprise to find that the forms contained answers to their questions. Oddly, they digressed to mention that Google reviews are not to be trusted because they are one-sided given because of patient confidentiality, though I think you can compare across providers who share this limitation to moderate that effect. Near the end they told me that my diagnostic psych exams were too old (12 years ago by a leader in diagnostic evaluation) and I would have to get another. This requirement wasn't mentioned within the onboarding paperwork, and would have been valuable to know before the appointment. They provided incorrect information regarding their suggested medication and told me that my current medication causes heart damage (disturbing). When I had time to research their suggestions, I found that their recommendation was not supported by clinical research, and there were no sources that supported their warnings of heart damage. I sent a message with my findings with 2 high quality sources (MD authored and another recent NIH meta-analysis). The provider's response was to find another practice and a linked FDA drug one-pager which didn't support their claims, and only addressed one of three questions. I felt that they minimized ADHD as a class of symptoms that stem from depression or anxiety (doesn't fit my symptoms based on a decade of regular high quality care) and from overheard jokes about me with the front office assistant, they classified my visit as addiction seeking behavior. I'm sure that's fairly common but I don't think I fit that type well and it will probably be leveraged as defense for their actions when this review reaches their management plane.

oh my gosh to confirm any and all suspicians that this is a grift, please look at the insane responses to people's bad reviews. Will make your mental and physical health worse. Will cancel your appointments 10 minutes before they start. Impossible to get anyone on the phone to schedule. They say they'll call to schedule follow up appointments per the doctors' request. But neither the physical location, nor the virtual visit process allows you to connect with reception and scheduling on the way out. It's a mess of phone-tree nonsense, where the person who calls to tell you your appointment is canceled is not the person who can schedule you a new appointment. Good luck asking them to connect you or give you a phone number that goes to a person. I had 2 appointments cancel on me back to back with no warning, I was sick for weeks after a lapse in my prescriptions.
